Privacy Policy

Last updated October 9, 2026

This explains what ballbonito collects, why, and who else handles it. We collect only what it takes to run leagues and programs, and we don't sell personal information or show ads.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name and email, and a phone number if you add one.
  • Player and family details: what an organization asks for when you sign up, such as a player's name, birthdate, position, jersey size, and waiver acceptance.
  • League activity: teams, rosters, schedules, results, availability replies, and messages organizations send.
  • Payment records: what was paid, when, and how. Card numbers are handled by the payment provider and never stored by ballbonito.
  • Site visits: a cookie-free visit counter (Umami) that records pages viewed, without identifying you.

How it's used

To run the service: show schedules and standings, process sign-ups, send receipts, reminders, schedule changes, and announcements, and help organizations manage their rosters. Each organization sees the details of people who sign up with it.

Children

Youth players are signed up by a parent or guardian, who provides their details. We don't knowingly collect information directly from children under 13.

Who else handles data

We use a small set of providers to run ballbonito:

  • Stripe and Square, for payments made to organizations
  • Resend, to deliver email
  • Expo, to deliver app notifications
  • Bunny, to store uploaded images
  • Hetzner, to host our servers and database

Each handles data only to provide its service to us.

Keeping and deleting it

We keep your information while your account or an organization's records need it. To see, correct, or delete your information, send us a message. Some payment records may need to be kept for accounting.

Security

Connections are encrypted, sign-ins use passwordless codes or Apple, and payment keys organizations connect are encrypted at rest.

Changes

We will update the date at the top when this policy changes.
